Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CHAOS League (“CHAOS League”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information about you when you use chaosgame.online (the “Site”). CHAOS League is operated by an individual based in the United States. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your username, name, email address and password. We store only a secure hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Profile details (optional): a profile picture, your country and your language preference.
- Team and tournament activity: teams you create or join, your role and roster position, invitations and join requests, tournament registrations and match lineups.
- Messages: anything you send us, for example by email.
Information created when you play
Match results and player statistics (such as kills, deaths, assists, points and rankings) that tournament staff enter for the matches you play.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. This is recorded in our server logs and with your sign-in session.
- Cookies: see “Cookies” below.
We do not ask for your date of birth, phone number, home address or payment details to use the Site. If you win a prize, we may need some of this information to deliver it (see our Terms of Service).
How we use information
- to create and run your account and let you sign in;
- to run tournaments: teams, rosters, brackets, schedules, results, rankings and statistics;
- to send you service emails, such as account verification, password resets and security notices (for example, when your email address changes). We do not send marketing emails;
- to show you notifications on the Site, such as team invitations and match updates;
- to keep the Site safe: preventing spam, abuse, cheating and unauthorized access, including limiting how many requests can come from one IP address;
- to find and fix problems and keep the Site running;
- to deliver prizes, if you win one;
- to comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.
What is public
Your username, profile picture, country, team, roster role, and match results and statistics are shown publicly on the Site, for example on your player profile page, team pages, brackets and rankings. Anyone can see them, even without an account.
Your name and email address are not shown publicly. Only Site staff (administrators and tournament organizers) can see them. Please don’t put information you want to keep private in your username, team name or profile picture.
Cookies
We use only cookies that the Site needs to work:
- a session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers your language choice;
- a security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery;
- a “remember me” cookie, only if you choose to stay signed in.
Our network provider, Cloudflare, may also set strictly necessary security cookies, for example to detect bots. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only in these cases:
-
Service providers that help us run the Site. They may use your information
only to provide their services to us:
- GoDaddy: server hosting in the United States;
- Cloudflare: content delivery, DNS and protection against attacks. All traffic to the Site passes through Cloudflare;
- Resend: sending account emails;
- Google (Google Drive): storing backup copies of our database;
- Bunny Fonts (bunny.net): delivering the fonts used on the Site. Your browser connects to it directly, so it receives your IP address.
- Site staff: administrators and tournament organizers can see account details needed to run tournaments and handle reports.
- Legal reasons: when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or us. This includes investigations of cheating or match fixing.
- A new operator: if CHAOS League is transferred to someone else, your information may be transferred too, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
How long we keep information
- Account and profile: until you delete your account.
- After you delete your account: your profile, player statistics, lineups and notifications are deleted. Team records and match results (for example, which team won a match) remain so that tournament history stays accurate. A team you were the only member of is closed.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: a sign-up that is not confirmed by email expires after 60 minutes and is deleted shortly after.
- Server and application logs: about 14 days.
- Backups: kept for 14 days on our server and for up to 30 days in off-site storage. Deleted backups may stay in the storage provider’s trash for up to 30 more days. This means information you delete may remain in backups for up to about 60 days before it is gone for good.
Security
The Site uses HTTPS encryption, stores passwords only as secure hashes, requires two-factor authentication for administrators, and limits access to personal information to Site staff. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information. If you think your account has been compromised, change your password and email us right away.
Your choices and rights
- See and update your information: you can view and change most of your details on your Profile page.
- Delete your account: use “Delete account” on your Profile page. If deletion is temporarily blocked (for example, your team still has a match to play in an active tournament, or you are the captain of a team with other players), the page tells you why. You can also email us.
- Get a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it: email us from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
- Emails: the emails we send are needed to run your account, so you can’t turn them off while you have one.
Depending on the state where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws. We honor the requests above for all users, wherever they live. Because we do not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. We treat browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control the same way: we do not track you.
Children
The Site is not intended for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has given us information, email us at [email protected].
If you are between 13 and 18, please review this policy and our Terms of Service with a parent or guardian.
Users outside the United States
The Site is run from the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If we make significant changes, we will also tell you on the Site or by email.
